Head of Senior School
Welcome to Masada College’s website which will give you a mere taste of the variety of opportunities offered to our students and their families.
The Masada journey begins from as young as two years old when toddlers join our playgroup, move through our Early Learning Centre, Junior School and graduate from our Senior School, as well rounded, community minded Australian citizens, who have a strong sense of their heritage and their future and who as independent creative thinkers are engaged lifelong thinkers.
Masada prides itself on its strong academic results in the Higher School Certificate, being consistently placed in the top twenty schools in New South Wales. However, our real success stories are not the ones published in the league tables. They are those students who achieve way beyond their own expectations due to the individual attention they have been provided, the encouragement of their teachers, the relatively small class sizes and the working together of parents and the school, all of which enhance their performance.
Masada offers students a safe, nurturing environment that encourages independent lifelong learning. Jewish values and studies are interwoven into daily life and educational programs. This engenders in students an understanding of and pride in their Jewish heritage, along with an awareness of the needs of our society and how they can contribute to and support the local and wider community.
It only takes a quick glance over the Masada year planner to see that there is always something happening at the College. Each calendar year is marked by celebrations around the festivals, around opportunities to allow students to experience success in musical, drama, debating, art, public speaking, film making and sporting competitions and exhibitions, along with a variety of information evenings for parents and students. The size and nature of our College provides many opportunities for students to be recognized and experience success. Our Leader in Me program encourages all students to recognise their own strengths and ability to lead, while equipping them with the skills required for success in the 21st century.
To have a greater understanding and appreciation of what goes on in our classrooms and playgrounds, the warmth, ruach, atmosphere and caring that is synonymous with Masada, we encourage you to take the next step and move from a virtual to a real school tour.
We look forward to sharing some of the many highlights of our school with you.
