Message from the Head of Junior School

At Masada College we welcome students from all over the World. We celebrate high academic standards, a strong co-curricular program and a warm caring community underpinned by our Jewish Foundations. We provide a first class education preparing students for life in the 21st Century. Students of all abilities, cultures and backgrounds are warmly welcomed at Masada Junior School. The diversity of our student body brings life and vibrancy to our school community. We are a school that values academic rigour as shown in our outstanding NAPLAN and HSC results, whilst ensuring this is achieved with a balance of enjoyment and risk taking.
We work closely with each individual child to develop their personal strengths and capabilities helping them to explore themselves and their world in a structured and safe environment. At Masada we are small enough for each student to be well known and supported, but large enough to offer the widest possible opportunities.
Our curriculum provides opportunity to develop individual skills, and critical thinking to support learning and achievement. Our personalised learning philosophy is evidenced by our commitment to achieving the highest academic goals for every student as we encourage our students to take responsibility for their own learning. Some activities will allow for small group work or working with a partner, some lean more towards the whole year group working together and at times the students will be split into groups that best suit their needs. This is not only academically sound but provides opportunities for the students to interact with a wide range of students.
At Masada College we offer your daughters and sons the challenge of achieving personal excellence in all areas of school life, working to their personal strengths and talents. We challenge our students to become independent life-long learners. We aim to give our students the self confidence to believe that they can make a difference to their world.
