Masada College AGM 2009
Message from the President of the Board
Masada College is a community school which welcomes all students. It is based on a strong Jewish ethos with a clear emphasis on each child’s individual needs. Our mission is to provide education opportunities for all students. The College, which welcomes students from 3 years old to HSC has a proud tradition of achieving excellent results in a nurturing environment.
Central to our success is working together as a team and looking after the needs of all in the Masada community which includes teachers, parents and especially our students. Masada has recently experienced a significant increase in enrolments. In the last year, enrolments have increased from 561 at the end of 2007 to the current level of over 600. We understand that private schooling is one of the most important investments for a family. We strongly feel that no Jewish child should be deprived the opportunity of having a Masada education. Financial assistance is available to Jewish students through annual allocations from the JCA and other donors through a highly confidential process.
The role of the Board is to set policy, agree the strategic plan and implement a prudent financial plan for the College. In these roles I am ably assisted by the Board, the College Executive and the PA, all of whom contribute enormously to the College through a range of activities and sub-committees. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.
I trust you will enjoy exploring the wonderful opportunities available to all our students. Masada has a sound future and will continue to serve the community by producing well rounded students, thus ensuring Jewish continuity on the North Shore.
