Year 12 student wins culinary award
Each year HTN (Hospitality Training Network) offers a scholarship to two year 12 students throughout NSW and the ACT who are studying hospitality as part of their HSC. Wesley Bedil (Pictured), Year 12, of Masada College, St Ives, is fortunate to have been awarded the prestigious HTN Peter Howard Future Chef Scholarship. This offer includes a 2 week culinary adventure with a leading industry partner. The scholarship comprises of travel and accommodation in a capital city in conjunction with mentoring and training from a master chef. The scholarship recognises exemplary passion, commitment and culinary excellence, offering ‘hands on’ practical experience with one of HTN’s leading host trainers based in Sydney and Canberra. Mazeltov! Masada has just recently had another Year 12 student excel in the hospitality field, Seth Zworestine was awarded a full scholarship and apprenticeship from the Radisson Plaza Hotel with their award winning kitchen team and renowned Executive Chef, Jeremy Clark.
