Year 12 Student will go to Finals of Rostrum Voice of Youth Competition
In a nation-wide search for the most competent young speaker in Australia, Dean Fremder, Year 12, delivered a speech at the Regional Heats of the Rostrum Voice of Youth Competition at Hornsby Girls High School. Victorious, Dean was offered to take part in the Metropolitan Finals in May. He delivered a 9 minute prepared speech as well as an unprepared speech, where he was given 15 minutes to prepare a 3 minute speech. "For this speech, I focused on the concept of Corporate Darwinism and the lack of Darwinian theory in the corporate world. Again, I was lucky enough to win the competition and am now preparing for the State Finals, to be held in Parliament, where I will compete for a spot in the National Finals to be held in Melbourne. Thank You to Mrs Pisk (careers adviser) for entering me into the competition and to Masada College for the inspiration." Dean said.
